Today's Wednesday Walk - 14 walkers set off from Mackworth to walk the last 3.5 miles of the Bonnie Prince Charlie Way, taking in Markeaton and Derby City Centre. Weather hot and sunny. Swift bus back to the Farmhouse for post-walk refreshments. Thanks to Stephen B for leading (and for most of the photos). Thanks to Sue M for the group photo which also included the walk leader!
We are a local group of The Ramblers,
based in south-east Derbyshire, established in 1981. We organise group walks in the
local area and beyond, lead by experienced walk leaders. We are a friendly bunch of like minded
people who enjoy the many benefits of walking in the open air. Our Footpath Secretary and Wardens work diligently to monitor and do minor cutting back on footpaths to help maintain Rights of Way in the Erewash area.
