Chilly at Dale Abbey this morning as 40 walkers gathered at the Carpenters Arms for another Erewash Walking Month leisurely walk through attractive undulating countryside passing the Hermits Cave and the surrounds of Locko Park and returning via the Stables View restaurant and Dale Abbey church - plenty of sunshine later lifted the temperature significantly - post walk refreshments at the Carpenters - thanks to Stephen for leading and Alan for the pics.
We are a local group of The Ramblers,
based in south-east Derbyshire, established in 1981. We organise group walks in the
local area and beyond, lead by experienced walk leaders. We are a friendly bunch of like minded
people who enjoy the many benefits of walking in the open air. Our Footpath Secretary and Wardens work diligently to monitor and do minor cutting back on footpaths to help maintain Rights of Way in the Erewash area.
