Today's walk, the first of Erewash Walking Month. 4 miles from the Bridge Inn at Duffield on the Packhorse trail. Thanks to Sara for leading and Jan and Alan for the photos. Sara led 20 walkers on a bright May morning from the Bridge Inn at Duffield on an undulating walk along the ancient packhorse trail with welcome refreshments al fresco beside the river in the pub garden.
We are a local group of The Ramblers,
based in south-east Derbyshire, established in 1981. We organise group walks in the
local area and beyond, lead by experienced walk leaders. We are a friendly bunch of like minded
people who enjoy the many benefits of walking in the open air. Our Footpath Secretary and Wardens work diligently to monitor and do minor cutting back on footpaths to help maintain Rights of Way in the Erewash area.
