Today's April Fools Wednesday walk. Alan B admirably lead about 26 walkers (sorry, I wasn't counting!) on a 4 mile trek from Strelley to Swingate. Cool, cloudy morning. Plenty of animals on view - dogs, horses, cattle, lions.... Welcome to Barbara, walking with us for the first time. Post-walk refreshments at the Mulberry Tree Cafe.
We are a local group of The Ramblers,
based in south-east Derbyshire, established in 1981. We organise group walks in the
local area and beyond, lead by experienced walk leaders. We are a friendly bunch of like minded
people who enjoy the many benefits of walking in the open air. Our Footpath Secretary and Wardens work diligently to monitor and do minor cutting back on footpaths to help maintain Rights of Way in the Erewash area.
