Today's Wednesday Walk, lead capably by Alan B, saw 26 walkers start from Kirk Hallam and route via Straws Bridge, the new Peewit Nature Reserve, Victoria Park and the Nutwood Trail. Welcome to Isabel and Nick (and their 2 jack russells) walking with us for the first time. Post-walk refreshments at the Cat and Fiddle.
We are a local group of The Ramblers,
based in south-east Derbyshire, established in 1981. We organise group walks in the
local area and beyond, lead by experienced walk leaders. We are a friendly bunch of like minded
people who enjoy the many benefits of walking in the open air. Our Footpath Secretary and Wardens work diligently to monitor and do minor cutting back on footpaths to help maintain Rights of Way in the Erewash area.
