Great turn out for our New Years Eve Walk. 37 ramblers, lead admirably by Sandra, set off from Shardlow to walk along the River Trent path, returning along the T&M Canal. A bright, cold morning with post-walk refreshments at the Clock Warehouse pub.
We are a local group of The Ramblers,
based in south-east Derbyshire, established in 1981. We organise group walks in the
local area and beyond, lead by experienced walk leaders. We are a friendly bunch of like minded
people who enjoy the many benefits of walking in the open air. Our Footpath Secretary and Wardens work diligently to monitor and do minor cutting back on footpaths to help maintain Rights of Way in the Erewash area.
