Today's Wednesday Walk, from Trent Lock, along the river and over the golf course. A relatively short walk on a bright morning but with a keen wind. 24 walkers and 1 dog were led, at short notice, by Gordon (many thanks!). Welcome to new member, Norma. Post-walk refreshments at the Steamboat Inn.
We are a local group of The Ramblers,
based in south-east Derbyshire, established in 1981. We organise group walks in the
local area and beyond, lead by experienced walk leaders. We are a friendly bunch of like minded
people who enjoy the many benefits of walking in the open air. Our Footpath Secretary and Wardens work diligently to monitor and do minor cutting back on footpaths to help maintain Rights of Way in the Erewash area.
