Today's Wednesday Walk - 26 walkers and 2 dogs walked the 4 miles from Strelley Hall around Swingate and surrounding area. The morning started cold and misty but the sun had made an appearance by the end. Thanks to Alan B for leading. Post-walk refreshments at the Mulberry Cafe (if you could get a table!) and the Broad Oak pub.
We are a local group of The Ramblers,
based in south-east Derbyshire, established in 1981. We organise group walks in the
local area and beyond, lead by experienced walk leaders. We are a friendly bunch of like minded
people who enjoy the many benefits of walking in the open air. Our Footpath Secretary and Wardens work diligently to monitor and do minor cutting back on footpaths to help maintain Rights of Way in the Erewash area.
