Today's Wednesday Walk. 18 walkers and 1 dog set off from Greasley Church, for a circular walk taking in the history of DH Lawrence, around Moor Green, Colliers Wood Nature Reserve and Beauvale. A cloudy morning but no rain. Thanks to Alan B for leading. Welcome to the grandkids, Joshua and Emily, joining us for the first time! An excellent pie and a pint at the Horse & Groom afterwards!
We are a local group of The Ramblers,
based in south-east Derbyshire, established in 1981. We organise group walks in the
local area and beyond, lead by experienced walk leaders. We are a friendly bunch of like minded
people who enjoy the many benefits of walking in the open air. Our Footpath Secretary and Wardens work diligently to monitor and do minor cutting back on footpaths to help maintain Rights of Way in the Erewash area.
