Today's Wednesday walk, starting at West Park, Long Eaton, and a circular route towards Breaston and back. 20 walkers for 4 miles on a cloudy, coolish morning. Welcome Liz, joining us for the first time. Thanks to Gordon for leading. Post walk refreshments at the Eaton Farm, where Phil wasn't tempted with the carvery (it smelt good, though!).
We are a local group of The Ramblers,
based in south-east Derbyshire, established in 1981. We organise group walks in the
local area and beyond, lead by experienced walk leaders. We are a friendly bunch of like minded
people who enjoy the many benefits of walking in the open air. Our Footpath Secretary and Wardens work diligently to monitor and do minor cutting back on footpaths to help maintain Rights of Way in the Erewash area.
