Today's Wednesday walk. Warm and sunny morning saw 25 walkers set off from Shardlow, to follow the canal and River Derwent, round by Great Wilne. Thanks to Sandra for leading. Post-walk refreshments at the New Inn.
We are a local group of The Ramblers,
based in south-east Derbyshire, established in 1981. We organise group walks in the
local area and beyond, lead by experienced walk leaders. We are a friendly bunch of like minded
people who enjoy the many benefits of walking in the open air. Our Footpath Secretary and Wardens work diligently to monitor and do minor cutting back on footpaths to help maintain Rights of Way in the Erewash area.
