Today's Wednesday walk. A mixed dry and cloudy/sunny morning saw 18 walkers starting at Victoria Park, Ilkeston and routing around the new Peewit Coronation Meadows Nature Reserve, Straws Bridge and the Nutbrook Trail. Thanks Alan B for leading. Welcome to new walkers, Michelle and Karen.
We are a local group of The Ramblers,
based in south-east Derbyshire, established in 1981. We organise group walks in the
local area and beyond, lead by experienced walk leaders. We are a friendly bunch of like minded
people who enjoy the many benefits of walking in the open air. Our Footpath Secretary and Wardens work diligently to monitor and do minor cutting back on footpaths to help maintain Rights of Way in the Erewash area.
