Today's walk around Derby City Centre. About 3.5 miles lead by Stephen B. Started cool and breezy but the hot sun was shining towards the end. 14 walkers (including Gordon's granddaughter, Evie - welcome!) saw the sights of the riverside walk, the railway conservation area, the Arboretum, the pepperpots and various landmark buildings in the city centre. Welcome repast at the Exeter Arms at the end.
We are a local group of The Ramblers,
based in south-east Derbyshire, established in 1981. We organise group walks in the
local area and beyond, lead by experienced walk leaders. We are a friendly bunch of like minded
people who enjoy the many benefits of walking in the open air. Our Footpath Secretary and Wardens work diligently to monitor and do minor cutting back on footpaths to help maintain Rights of Way in the Erewash area.
