Today's walk, in fine, sunny weather. No hint of rain (despite an erroneous forecast!). 16 walkers and 1 dog set off from Greasley Church to walk across fields and along paths to Windmill Hill, Giltbrook. Splendid views of Ikea en route. Thanks to Alan B for leading and welcome to Caroline on her first walk with us. Also happy birthday wishes to Marion! Post walk refreshments in the Church Cafe and the Horse & Groom.
We are a local group of The Ramblers,
based in south-east Derbyshire, established in 1981. We organise group walks in the
local area and beyond, lead by experienced walk leaders. We are a friendly bunch of like minded
people who enjoy the many benefits of walking in the open air. Our Footpath Secretary and Wardens work diligently to monitor and do minor cutting back on footpaths to help maintain Rights of Way in the Erewash area.
