A cold grey start to Easter Sunday but blue sky and warm sunshine by the afternoon for the 15 walkers setting out on an 8 mile walk from Lower Hartshay to Heage with its windmill and Morley with it's early blast furnaces dating from 1780 led by Brian M with photos by Helen F and Raman
We are a local group of The Ramblers,
based in south-east Derbyshire, established in 1981. We organise group walks in the
local area and beyond, lead by experienced walk leaders. We are a friendly bunch of like minded
people who enjoy the many benefits of walking in the open air. Our Footpath Secretary and Wardens work diligently to monitor and do minor cutting back on footpaths to help maintain Rights of Way in the Erewash area.
