A forecast for all day rain kept numbers low for today's walk from Bramcote Hills through woodland and an attractive undulating landscape to join the Nottingham Canal near Balloons Wood and follow towards Trowell where more woodland led to the Hemlock Stone on a hillside above Bramcote park - the rain turned out to be a little misty drizzle at the begining and end of the walk with the majority taking place in dry conditions - thanks to Alan for leading and Gordon for the photos by the Hemlock Stone

based in south-east Derbyshire, established in 1981. We organise group walks in the
local area and beyond, lead by experienced walk leaders. We are a friendly bunch of like minded
people who enjoy the many benefits of walking in the open air. Our Footpath Secretary and Wardens work diligently to monitor and do minor cutting back on footpaths to help maintain Rights of Way in the Erewash area.
