This morning's walk from Chilwell through the Attenborough Nature Reserve and along the River Trent to Beeston Lock before following a section of the Beeston canal along the edge of the flood plain and rejoining the Trent for the return with a coffee stop at the Lock Cottage Cafe and Heritage Centre - a grey start with fine drizzle turning to blue sky and sunshine for the latter stages - thanks to Stephen for leading and providing the photos
We are a local group of The Ramblers,
based in south-east Derbyshire, established in 1981. We organise group walks in the
local area and beyond, lead by experienced walk leaders. We are a friendly bunch of like minded
people who enjoy the many benefits of walking in the open air. Our Footpath Secretary and Wardens work diligently to monitor and do minor cutting back on footpaths to help maintain Rights of Way in the Erewash area.
